I am another die-hard, devoted, loyal MoPar fan!

The unusual factor here is that I was raised in a predominately Ford family.
You see, my father is a Ford salesman back East. My step-father and all of his brothers worked on the Ford assembly line back East. And of course, they all drive Fords!

I developed my love for MoPars at an early age. It could be due to my love for the t.v. show ‘Dukes of Hazzard’ and the famous General Lee. Or I could blame Richard Petty for bringing home all those checkered flags driving
his MoPars. But I think the real reason was my grandfather and his love for MoPars. He has always had a substantial collection of everything from Dodge to Plymouths, with quite a few DeSoto’s mixed in!

When I was in the Air Force I owned several MoPars, but the two that stick out in my memories are the 1973 Barracuda and the 1989 Shelby CSX-VNT. Both were super fast, and both were a kick in the ass to drive!

Being the loyal, devoted MoPar fan that I am, I currently own three early Barracudas; two 1965’s and one 1966. I would love to own several more, and am always looking for more to add to my collection. I probably get that from my Gramps too!

Speaking of my Ford dominated family, while home recently I went to visit my father at his car lot. I thought I would sneak in and surprise him for lunch. When I walked into his ‘office’ I was the one that got the surprise. I witnessed my father’s alter ego; his split personality; his ‘dark side’!

Knowing that no one would believe me if I told them, I quickly whipped out my trusty digital camera and snapped the following picture for proof!

Now we all know my father’s true love. It seems that he harbors secret feelings for the 'other side'. His hidden passion for things MoPar has been revealed. Now, I’m sure he’s going to deny this to all his co-workers and his boss. And I’m sure my
name is ‘mudd’ from this day forward. But I must admit that I now feel a closer tie
to my father, a stronger bond, seeing that deep down inside we share a common thread.

Just remember Dad, I Love Ya!

Excuse me while I start searching the classifieds for a ‘real car’ for him…something MoPar!!!
